The Legend of Sol, Titan, and Morgan: Her Family

Sol had once lived her life only for herself, with no goal in mind except to do whatever was necessary at the time to continue towards discovering her past. All she had wanted was to know where she had come from... who had abandoned her here, and why. It had never mattered that she didn't belong, that she was different, that so many people feared her or worshiped her. All she cared about was that she was drawing closer, with each discovery, each passing day, to uncovering where she'd come from, who she really was.
But Titan had started to change her. Had started to make her understand that the past wasn't something you could live for... instead, you had to look towards the future. She had slowly started to understand that other people had lives of their own, and they had as much a right to live as she did... although any compassion for other people was much slower in coming.
Morgan, however, made her understand she couldn't keep chasing the past. Morgan accepted her as a sister as readily as Titan had, and thought of them all as family, even though they were all very different ponies and she had awoken with no knowledge of her past. But Sol thought she understood why: there was a connection between them, one even she could barely understand. But it was powerful and deep and impossible to dispute its existence.
Sol, in some ways, found herself suddenly with two siblings she cared for, even more than she cared about the answers to her past. Worse, their opinions had begun to matter to her: she could no longer scoff at Titan and ignore his advice, but instead found herself taking his words to heart. Likewise, during their first few days, when Morgan complained about how she was still weak from what had happened to her, Sol would readily stop and allow her a few moments of respite instead of ignoring her and dragging her onwards like she would have done with anyone else.
In only a few short days, she found herself feeling protective of Sol, almost like she really was a younger sister, and a piece of her heart that had been missing all these years. And while still ruthless, Sol found herself allowing Morgan and Titan to put themselves at risk during several important raids, trying to save every innocent life they could, instead of simply lashing out and burning away their enemies with their captives. And more, Sol found herself practicing mercy more often than she ever had in the past: she tortured, paralyzed, and left grievous injury to her enemies, but no longer did she as often strive to kill. She was even willing to let the survivors of their skirmishes crawl away in defeat... something that Titan took great relief in seeing, after the brutality that Sol had displayed for so many years.
It made her nervous, to find herself caring so much about her so-called siblings: in the past, she'd tried to avoid making any kind of attachments, knowing they could be used against her. Alliances had come and gone for her as quickly as leaves in the breeze, and she had been happy that way: she hadn't needed anyone apart from herself. But now, she had siblings, ponies she cared about and felt protective of. And part of her felt that was very dangerous, and feared what it might lead to, and how it could be used against her.
Furthermore, Titan and Morgan were both boisterous and enjoyed taking risks. But Morgan was also hotheaded and brash: she would rush headlong into a challenge even if she was outnumbered, twenty to one. It was something that worried Sol: she feared that one day, Morgan would bite off more than she could chew, and they wouldn't be there to help her.
But as much as she feared for them, Sol knew all the same that they had become her family, and there was no turning back now. She would protect both Morgan and Titan to her last breath, even if she knew they were a weakness that could be exploited: because no matter how vulnerable they made her, even her quest to discover her past had never given her a feeling like she had a future, like her two siblings did.
